Set within 15 acres of woodland and wildflower meadows Birdholme offers the perfect setting for your special day.
Space is not a problem, whether you would like a large marquee, tipi, or stretch tent, we have a choice of two private large mown grass areas, making your day unique and intimate. Prices include the exclusive use of our seven safari lodges, sleeping up to 32 adults and 10 children. Our safari lodges are like no others, all fully insulated with fitted kitchens and bathrooms, underfloor heating, log burners, fire pits and hot tubs. Our premium lodges, Otter and Kestrel, also have private saunas.

Wild Thyme Events offer an extraordinary experience, bringing together professionals to make your vision come true. They take care of every element from start to finish, from marquees/stretch tents to the catering, flowers, photography/videography, bar/furniture, games, and music.

What is included?

What isn't included?
From our list of trusted suppliers, you will need to choose your own Marquee/Tipi/Stretch Tent, Caterers, DJ, Florist, Photographer, generator and toilets.
Are we able to hold a blessing on site?
Of course! A blessing ceremony can be as personal as you want it to be. We can put you in touch with some celebrants who would be delighted to assist exchanging your vows.
Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?
We don’t currently hold a license therefore the ‘Official bits’ need to carried out elsewhere. There are a number of local Registry Offices /churches in the area.
How many guests can we invite?
There is space for up to 150 guests.
The lodges can accommodate up to 32 adults and 10 children.
Is there parking on-site?
Yes, we have parking for up to 50 cars
Any guests that are not staying in the lodges are permitted to leave their cars overnight at their own risk, and would be required to collect them by midday the next day.
Can you recommend suppliers?
Yes, we can put you in touch with suppliers that we can recommend making your day intimate and special.
Do you hold a license for alcohol?
We don’t hold a licence for alcohol but depending on which supplier you use they may have and if not, we can work with you to obtain one.
Is there a curfew for music?
We ask that all amplified music ends at midnight.
Are we allowed to use fireworks, Chinese lanterns or bonfires in our celebrations?
To protect our wildlife, we don’t permit fireworks, Chinese lanterns or fires as our grounds are set with in woodland and wildflower meadows.
However, we do have designated fire pits at each of the lodges which can be used (but not moved as these are set on gravel for fire safety reasons).
Do you allow confetti?
We allow all natural, biodegradable confetti, such as real flower petals, to protect our wildlife.
Can my suppliers and photographer take a look round before the event?
Absolutely, we just ask that this is arranged with us in advance.
Do you hold public liability insurance?
Yes, Birdholme has public liability insurance, but we do recommend you take out your own wedding insurance.
All external suppliers must provide copies of their public liability insurance certificates.
